How does it work?

• People are welcome to submit an inquiry form and someone will get back to you. Our design team will reach out to learn more about your idea. A work scope will be organized and an estimate for work will then be provided.

How long does it take to create my custom aluminum boat design?

• Design timing varies with each project, and is affected by factors like size, complexity and third-party delays. Modifications requested to the original concept will also affect pricing and timelines.

How can I speak to the designer?

• Initial contact is best through our contact page or by submitting an inquiry form. All design work will begin with a free consultation, followed by an estimate for work. Email is a great way of corresponding with our design team on an ongoing basis. If necessary, virtual visits with our designer during the design process are welcome, depending on designer availability, and are generally subject to design rates. If you are interested in meeting simply phone or send an email with your request.

How much does it cost?

• Pricing options for the total project differ and will be discussed during the initial phase and outlined in an estimate. A deposit and contract is required to begin work. Pricing is influenced by a project's size and complexity. Other factors that affect pricing include how many boats a customer wants to cut, the level of exclusivity they desire, and any third party fees associated.

What do I get?

• Customers will get a set of construction drawings (blueprints). Each plan comes with designs for jigs, which are essential to the build process. The final aluminum boat design file will be sent to a CNC cutter of the customers choice. (don’t know a CNC cutter or builder? - ask us for recommendations) The amount of boats available for CNC cutting depends on the pricing plan agreed upon and will be reflected in the contract agreement between the CNC cutter and de Valk Design.
